The challenge
Make the operation of indoor venetian blinds child-safe.
Our solution
We designed a tassel that releases the cords when a child gets entangled. We achieved this by repeatedly generating ideas and testing them with prototypes, resulting in a very reliable and easy-to-use mechanism. Once released, the tassel is easily reassembled.
To our great delight, the idea won the Z&R Product of the Year award right at its launch. The jury praised the product for its ingenious simplicity and functionality.
